Hussain brutalized to surgery for converting from Islam to Christianity

Mr. Nissar Hussain, a 49 year old man and a father of six was attacked by an unknown gang and beaten up fiercely for being a Muslim-turned-Christian. Mr. Nissar Hussain have had several attacks like this in the past decade since he and his family converted to Christianity, except for the fact that this time his kneecap and hand were broken using a pickaxe handle by the assailants. This happened on Wednesday 18th November, 2015, He is presently receiving treatment in the hospital at Bradford.

Mr. Nissar Hussain lives in Bradford with his family, he told the Bradford Argus that he and his family have been living under several threats and fear for a very long time now since they converted to Christianity.

“We are under the cosh and classed as blasphemers. The Muslim community are largely decent people but because of the taboo of converting to Christianity we are classed by them as scum and second-class citizens.

Most of the Muslim community here have turned a blind eye to what we are going through. There are some who have condoned it but there are also those who are directly committing hate crimes against us."

Mr. Nissar Hussain reported that since the attack on him and his family, the church and nor the police have not been of good help and support to them. He said the only thing they get to hear them tell him is“Stop trying to be a crusader and move out of your area." Mr. Hussain have suffered a lot of persecution as he have lost three of his cars to having bricks thrown at him each time as he drive-by the street. Regarding Mr Hussain’s case, he said: “Police officers seemed oblivious. They didn’t put it down as a hate crime. They had it down as a neighbourhood dispute. That to me was atrocious."

Mr. Hussain have decided to park from Bradford and move to a more White English area with his family to have peace of mind and serve God, he did this willing to abandon his Nursing Job in Bradford.

God keep you in His palm, brother. Rest assured that God will not abandoned you and your family in thos predicament you are facing right now. I pray for those who persecute you with their hate that they maybe able to see the law of love for one another no matter what religious congregation you belong.
