Pope Francis meets with Argentina's New President

During Pope Francis’ meeting with the audience on 27th February he received President Mauricio Macri of Argentina.
Macri, who assumed office in December, gave the Pope a poncho, a cross, and Argentine music CDs, while Pope Francis presented the president with a medallion.
Following his meeting with the Pope, Macri met with the Vatican’s Secretary of State and Secretary for Relations with States.
Discussions, according to the Holy See Press Office, focused on assistance for human rights, poverty, drug trafficking, development, peace, and reconciliation.
