Pope’s prayer intentions for September released

In his latest monthly message, Francis asks the faithful to ‘contribute to the common good’

In his prayer intentions for September, Pope Francis has urged society to put humanity at its centre.

In the video released online, the Pope said that humanity is facing a crisis, not just economically but one that is also “ecological, educational, moral and human.”

The Pontiff added that at times of crises, we are presented with an opportunity to work together in solidarity.

“Come help me. For everyone to contribute to the common good and to build a society that puts the human person at its centre,” he said.

The Pope’s prayer intentions for September, listed on the Apostleship of Prayer’s website, also includes the ‘Centrality of the Human Person’, “that each may contribute to the common good and to the building of a society that places the human person at the centre”, and the ‘Mission to Evangelise’, “That by participating in the Sacraments and meditating on Scripture, Christians may become more aware of their mission to evangelise”.
