Satanists Sell Out Controversial Oklahoma ‘Black Mass’ Event, Will Stage Exorcism Despite Christian Protests

The Satanist group that will stage a controversial “black mass” at an Oklahoma City civic center has said that all 88 tickets for its Sept. 21 event are sold out. The co-founder of the group revealed that the ritual will go ahead despite strong Christian protests and will feature a satanic exorcism, but will be “toned down” to comply with state health laws.

“One of the dictates of the church is not only to educate the members but to educate the public, and to debunk the Hollywood-projected image of our beliefs,” Dakhma of Angra Mainyu’s Adam Daniels told ABC News.

He added that the group will comply with state health laws and substitute vinegar for actions involving urine as part of the satanic ceremony.

Daniels said that the ceremony will also feature Dakhma of Angra Mainyu deacons and priest who will stomp, spit on and use explicit language on an unconsecrated host, a wafer presented as a form of the resurrected Jesus Christ.

A satanic exorcism intended to draw the Holy Spirit from a follower’s body will wrap up the event, an inversion of Roman Catholic exorcism believed to expel the devil from a person.

“Our practices have gotten it to about 22 to 25 minutes,” the co-founder said of the length of the ritual.

Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin, Catholic Archbishop Paul Coakley, and over 80,000 people who have signed an online petition have all condemned the upcoming event.

Fallin called the black mass a “disgusting mockery of the Catholic faith,” saying that it should be “equally repellent to Catholics and non-Catholics alike.”

“It may be protected by the First Amendment, but that doesn’t mean we can’t condemn it in the strongest terms possible for the moral outrage which it is. It is shocking and disgusting that a group of New York City ‘satanists’ would travel all the way to Oklahoma to peddle their filth here. I pray they realize how hurtful their actions are and cancel this event,” she said.

Coakley has criticized city organizers for allowing the ceremony to go ahead.

“We’re astonished and grieved that the civic center would promote as entertainment and sell tickets for an event that is very transparently a blasphemous mockery of the mass,” Coakley said.

The parks and recreation department, which rented the space, said that the satanist group is protected under the First Amendment, and will have to follow city laws.

“Mr. Daniels must abide by our local ordinances, our fire codes and all of our state laws,” Parks and Recreation spokeswoman Jennifer Lindsey-McClintock said. “No bloodletting of any kind will be allowed.”

Tickets to the black mass reportedly sold for $17.50 a piece, and will feature a performance from the band “God in a Machine” and readings that call for the renunciation of God.

A Christian pastor who also uses the civic center for worship services called on Christians to respond with “love and hope” toward the satanist group.

“As a church, we want to respond as people of love, who are consistent with the teachings of Jesus and the ways he responded to those who rejected him and even hated him,” pastor Tom Mannin of the Oklahoma City Community Church wrote on his blog.

“So we will speak gracefully and peacefully of the people at the black mass gathering. We will pray for God’s love to abound in our city and among its people of varying belief.”

The battle is not for us because God said in the book of 2nd chronicle chapter 20 vs 13 that we don’t need to be discouraged or afraid because the battle depends on Him and not on us.We don’t need to fight the satanist group because nobody fights for God,He fights His wars by Himself. Our Lord Jesus Christ who assured us that He is the one in form of Bread in the Blessed Sacrament will defend and make name for Himself. All we need to do is to keep praying for their conversion and for God’s maximium Perfect Security upon the catholic church and upon us.May God who has all power and authority be praised now and forever.Amen.

Please restate your source. 2Ch 20:13 says “Meanwhile all the men of Judah stood before the Lord, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

You are right. Intercession/prayer is very important. There is no other victor but God…and he will surely fight for us.

But consider this also: If you were a student and you know are going to have an exam…will you tell yourself that instead of studying for the exam, you will just pray that you pass without a sweat…will that work? Maybe if you’re lucky…hehe. My point is: as your fellow brother in Christ, I tell you that we are all called to do God’s work here on earth. To become a blessing to others, and to make disciples out of all nations.

      1. Paul Gerard Antonio Saret Reply

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

i used to be a satanist believe me when i say they are just useing this as a way to make you all uncomfortable and get a rise out of you, best thing to do just leave them alone and let them do what they wanna do you are just adding fuel to their fire it IS their constitutional right to hold a public service if they are approved & no one is makeing you go in all fairness if you catholics can hold a public mass then so should satanists. I would also like to point out that satanists have never protested a public catholic mass what gives you the right to interfere with these peoples religious freedom? many (not all) of you expect people to respect your beliefs but you do not respect othe peoples if it is contrary to yours one of the many reasons i turned away from your church

    1. Nats Reply

I understand Your point and I respect it. However, this People are mocking Christianity and Jesus Christ. It is very disrespectful and I am sure a lot of People feel annoyed. If They want to worship whoever They want to worship, They can go ahead and do that. We as Christians believe that everyone has a free-will, and We are not to judge anyone. But there is a way, and that way should be a way in which it doesn’t affect others and Their Religious views.
When They said “Educate Public”, I really got confused. Educate the Public what? I mean from what I read there, that is very disgusting and distracting.
I know a lot of People contradict Themselves; that is because They are Humans, no one is perfect. You can only teach People and try to be Your best. You teach People what is right but if You do a mistake, it shouldn’t affect everyone’s view on what’s right or wrong. It is how You learn and see things.
I hope I’ve made some sense and not hurt anyone’s feelings 🙂 God bless You.

wow you turned away from the catholic church because they couldn’t respect others’ beliefs like the satanist? what a dumb reason, just saying

    3. Richard Reply

Nick that is a lie. We do not condemn anyone. Love is all we need. Maybe you should examine the Church again in light of your maturity.

  3. Dean Reply

In response to this satanic mass being performed in Oklahoma and the comments made by Nick, first i must say that you bring up the constitution's first amendment rights as a defense for their atrocious actions being displayed in public, perhaps you are not aware of this but when this country was founded it was dedicated to Almighty God and our forefathers who wrote the constitution proclaimed religious freedom strictly for the choice of being either a Catholic or a Protestant, Not a satanist, witch or any kind of heretic! they used to condemn such people to death! so these disgusting actions being displayed by satanist should have no protection by this amendment. and satanist do protest the church continuously by their vile actions which they perform in secret all the time by doing so on God's consecrated ground which includes the murder of children and babies provided by breeders. I certainly do not and will not respect any actions performed by this clan of filth to exemplify these people who are proud to be the epitome of evil. and in closing i used to be a satanist as well as a witch for many years and there is nothing proper about their beliefs and therefore are undeserving of respect.

Nick, they may be doing it to make us feel uncomfortable, but all I feel is sadness for them. They think that they have a fighting chance but God has already won the fight, and they’re just too lost and gullible to see it. The devil can never overcome the power of the one true God, and these people are just pawns in his losing game.

May God bless you and keep you, and them as well.

It is a free world.and they are not breaking the law.if christains can condemn satan and all things about satan,i think it is fair that satanists can do the same.because you are christains, jews or muslims does not mean u have a right as a religion over other beliefs….their arrogance is the reason there can never be peace in the world today, they claim to be peaceful bodies yet they cant stand other religions.cos you are more in population to the satanists does not give you more rights than them.

A reminder to the Christian pastor who chose to respond with love and hope to the satanists, Jesus overturned tables and expressed great anger when the money changers took over his temple. He was not smiling and shaking hands as evil enter the holy temple. It might be something worth your consideration for the future. There are appropriate times to show repulsion. People who spit on and curse God are those who deserve your anger.

    1. NJH Reply

Spitting on your god is what every religion does by not being your relgion. I detect a threat of violence in what you are saying. Why don’t you go after the Jews -because they deny Christ too? You don’t have the bottle, that is why.

i would like to reassure everyone that i am not trying to start an argument here i would just like to state that this is NOT Leveyan satanism which is usually the most common there is a big difference it is more of a philosophy than a religon the “church” of satan has even spoken out against this event and saying they are no part of it. these people are just stupid and have no idea what satanism is truely about it has nothing to do with the devil, evil, or even god, i would even say one could be a satanist and still hold very christian ideals. what these people are doing is horrible not just because its just a publicity stunt but because it makes all the other satanists look like crazy devil worshipers (these people would be the typical satanists equivalent of the westro baptists probably worse) i was raised catholic im am not anymore but there is no hate there, i looked into satanism its not evil just different i have never called my self a satanist or anything but i took some of the philosophy i agreed with please do not think this is a representation of satanism its just a shock value stunt to make money and make christians uncomfortable best thing you could do is just ignore them any reaction from you will just add fule to the fire as jesus said turn the other cheek & peace be with you all

Obviously they believe in God if they worship his creation a fallen angle. I just don’t understand how they show respect to the created and not the creator they should give thanks to God creating Lucifer. Not that God actually made Satan but he gave all his creation free will and in that comes great responsibility. So let us be responsible and pray that these believers and worshipers find truth because it is all of our responsibility to keep each other from the pits of hell where there will be nashing of teeth and pain and horror.

  14. ji Reply

We all know that satan is God’s enemy, why would anyone make such effort of worshipping evil? On what sides really are these kind of people? Good or bad? They must be careful of their actions before God. The devil can hear too and this could be the doom of the worshipper. I can only pray for all those invoved with this satanic acts of worshipping. Satan already fall when Jesus died on the cross so satan has been more angry and wants to try us more and more because we are God’s precious children redeem by his blood. Now let us all Roman Catholic pray for these people who are obviously victims by satan. May God’s love and mercy be all upon us.

This is an attention getting move and is no more than a child kicking and screaming on the floor. The answer to tantrums is to ignore them. Do not give credence to their cause. The population of Oklahoma City is 610,000 souls whereas this black mass has 88 people? The answer to this is to lead by example. Lead Christian lives that demonstrate happiness and fulfillment which is in reality what these so called Satanists really want. They are your jealous little brother and nothing more.

I do not know where to direct this message properly as it is a completely different subject. However, I read here only a few weeks ago that there is a Facebook page out there called “Faith in America” and that they are promoting same sex relationships, its activity and of course the topical subject of same sex marriage. However the are trying to profess great religious savvy and mixing it all together. Well I engaged with them and some other people as well. In the end they gave up as they had no answers to my questioning them and proving they are wrong, to the point they have now blocked me and deleted my writings, leaving only their replies. I told them they were not open for debate, but only a propaganda page to promote this activity. They do not like being told the truth. They are still a small community but the church has said to be careful. My request is that people engage with them in great numbers and tell them where they are going wrong, and supporting facts with scriptures…I did my bit, it is working and hopefully more can help in guiding their readers to a proper and healthy life…Thank you…
