A little girl, age 7, had blown herself up in an apparent suicide attack on a Syrian police station in Damascus. It is believed ISIS sent the girl into the police station. The attack wounded three officers.
The craven behavior of the Islamic State terrorists continues to find new lows. The terror organization, probably running low on manpower, has started to deploy children as suicide bombers.
A 7-year-old girl wearing a suicide belt entered a police station in Damascus, and asked to use the restroom. While inside the restroom, her belt was detonated, probably by ISIS members outside of the station. The girl was killed instantly, and three officers were wounded. Such attacks are rare in the city of Damascus.
The death of the child is a sign that the Islamic State places little value on human life, and probably no value on the life of a girl.
The Islamic State has lost territory and has been forced to contract as it comes under attack on all sides. Although the Syrian Army and their Russian allies have been focused on the ‽moderate” opposition stronghold in Aleppo, that final area is being secured. Once the Syrian Army has regrouped, they may begin a push towards ISIS territory.
Both ISIS and the Syrian rebels continue to hold large portions of Syrian territory, but all sides in the conflict have been bled dry. The Syrians have been particularly ruthless in clearing out Syrian rebels from Aleppo.
With ISIS defending in Mosul and facing smaller attacks on all sides, the terror organization is being stretched. This is compelling them to use children as suicide bombers. In a recent propaganda video, the terrorists are seen glorifying old men who are seen executing prisoners and fighting.
The use of elderly men in the conflict is another sign ISIS is becoming desperate.
