What determines the morality of a sexual act?

A sexual act is any deliberate use of the genital sexual faculty.

Sexual acts are not exempt from the moral law. To be moral, each and every knowingly chosen sexual act must have three good fonts of morality. The intention must be good, the moral object must be good, and the good consequences must outweigh any bad consequences.

In order to have a good moral object, each and every sexual act must be marital and unitive and procreative. Each and every moral sexual act always has these three meanings: marital, unitive, procreative. The deprivation of any one or more of these meanings from the moral object causes the sexual act to be intrinsically evil and always gravely immoral.

The natural sexual act is genital-to-genital intercourse between a man and a woman. This act is unitive and procreative. Natural sexual intercourse between a husband and wife is called natural marital relations. Only natural marital relations is martial and unitive and procreative.

The use of contraception deprives the act of natural intercourse of the procreative meaning, causing the sexual act to be non-procreative. The use of contraception is intrinsically evil and always gravely immoral because it deprives sexual relations of its procreative meaning, which is required by God for sexual acts to be moral. Therefore, natural marital relations must always be open to life (not contracepted).

A non-marital sexual act is any type of sexual act outside of marriage. Acts of adultery, pre-marital sex, and masturbation are non-marital. All non-marital sexual acts are intrinsically evil and always gravely immoral because these acts lack the marital meaning, which is required by God for sexual acts to be moral.

An unnatural sexual act is any type of sexual act that is not unitive and procreative. Examples of unnatural sexual acts include oral sexual acts, anal sexual acts, and manipulative sexual acts (i.e. masturbation of self or of another). All unnatural sexual acts are intrinsically evil and always gravely immoral because these acts lack the unitive and procreative meanings, which are required by God for sexual acts to be moral. These acts are not procreative because they are not the type of act that is inherently directed at procreation. These acts are not truly unitive, even if there is a certain mere physical union of body parts, because this is not the type of sexual union intended by God for human persons. Unnatural sexual acts are not justified by being done within marriage because the moral law requires each and every sexual act to be not only marital, but also unitive and procreative.

To be moral, each and every sexual act must be marital and unitive and procreative. All non-marital sexual acts, all non-unitive sexual acts, and all non-procreative sexual acts are intrinsically evil and always gravely immoral. All such acts have an evil moral object, and so they are not justified by intention, or by circumstances, or by other acts.

That is dogma and it is not based on reason and evidence.

    I felt as if I were reading a manual…

Man does not “know” what God thinks of this … It seemed awfully cold hearted… How could an article like this cause anything but fear. Causing Fear is Immoral.

Once again, sex, sex, sex. I sometimes feel sorry for those unnatural, disordered, celibate virgins who must be absolutely fixated on sex, given that it’s their favorite topic, the favorite sin, the favorite weapon to intimidate and manipulate poor ignorant people, too scared to tell those sick individuals what to do with their maniacal obsession. The Church is adamant that women not enjoy sex – absolutely adamant. Women are constructed such that very few of them can achieve orgasm without manual or oral stimulation and god forbid a woman should enjoy sex – yet they are mandated to give it to their husbands when they want it. They are mandated to watching children they can’t care for die of starvation and disease. They are mandated to lives of misery and pain by a sick, evil organization. If I had it in my power, I would auction off the riches of the Church to help all the people they forced into misery and burn the rest to the ground.
Where in the bible does it say sex is only for procreation and that contraception is wrong? Not that the bible is worth the paper its written on, but where does it say this? I’ve read it. I don’t recall any mention of contraception. What we have here is a bunch of mentally disordered men who particularly hate the idea of women enjoying sex, and are jealous of the men who are permitted to do so. Mostly though, since sex is deeply intimate and personal, it’s the best tool imaginable to manipulate and intimidate and guilt and shame frightened people, in order to control them for their own nefarious purposes – money and power.
The Church appears to be dedicated to the destruction of the world, given its insistence that we not use contraception to control our population growth. It seems not to understand that our sex drive is an evolved trait that made it possible for us to survive in a time when almost all children died. Our sex drive, not Jesus, was our salvation as a species, but now it works against us. Now we use up a year’s worth of resources only three or four months into a year. Now we are on a clear path to destruction, and it seems the Church could not be happier about that.
Fortunately, in addition to a strong sex drive, we also evolved intellect, and we developed the technology to manage our sex drive and reduce the number of children to what we and the world can support, if permitted to do so. The Church is the enemy of the human race. It is hell bent on destruction. It is an enemy of the human race.
The Church no longer has a foundation to support itself, and it’s gods. There was no six day creation, no two-person DNA bottleneck (this is the biggest problem for the Church because it means no original sin), no global flood, no mass exodus from Egypt and no conquest of Canaan. The foundation for the Abrahamic gods has washed away. There is no longer any need to fear this obsolete and evil organization.
