In Russia men and women have been plunging in freezing water blessed by priest for the Epiphany ritual of submerging themselves in freezing water. They believe that the ritual has healing powers.
Some eastern cities of Russia have seen temperatures as low as -30 Celsius, yet people don’t hesitate to dive into icy rivers. Watch the video below:
