Full Question

Can I get an annulment if my wife leaves with no warning, leaving me no choice but to be alone?

Answer

Dear friend,
Annulments are determined by the circumstances (their freedom and maturity) in which the bride and groom commit themselves at the time of the wedding–not by circumstances that arise later in the marriage.
I encourage you to discuss this with your parish priest. He may find that you do have grounds for seeking an annulment as the result of the circumstances surrounding your wedding. You are in our prayers,
