God is with Us in Troubled Times

Due to the temptations that we Catholics encounter in our lives, we become weighed down and desperate for answers or miracles. However, what we fail to understand is that every Christian has his cross to bear. Jesus asks us to come after him and follow him.
(Matt 11:28-30) “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest upon your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
During his time on earth, Jesus was obedient and followed the instructions of God the father. God is ever faithful to those who trust and obey him. We ought not to question God in times of difficulties rather to keep praying and doing his will.
If Christ who is the son of God and the only Messiah of the World encountered difficulties on earth, why then should we Christians “Christ-like” expect to have lives free of troubles? In other to be like Christ we have to walk in his ways. When we are troubled we should just trust and obey God and understand that we are bound to face challenges as children of God.
The case of Job in the bible is a lesson for us all. He lost all he had, including his children. He even suffered from leprosy. His wife told him to curse God and die, but he never cursed nor questioned God. Finally, God restored all he lost and made him even wealthier than he was.
No matter the weight of our problems, we should never question God nor imagine that He doesn’t exist. In fact, we should never allow the devil to implant such a thought in our mind. God is always with us, guiding us and seeing us through, even when we fail to acknowledge him. We should also plead to the Virgin Mary Mother to always intercede for us, her children.
