Is there anyone who we know is certainly in Hell?

The Church makes it a point to pray for everyone in hope that the mercy of God reaches each according to divine will. We trust that those who are trapped in purgatory by the temporal punishments due their sins can get help from the offerings of petition and thanksgiving presented to God for their good. Whilst the Church does not believe a person already in hell can benefit from such prayers and suffrage, she does not however teach that She knows anyone who aside from the Devil and his angels (cf. CCC 392–93), are (or will be at the last day) in hell already. Some like to cite some figures like Judas, Herod etc. However, we can never know their fate since the mercy of God is very mysterious.
We are definitely going to be surprised when we get there. Ours is to pray for all, and not to condemn anyone to hell with our mouths, judgement belongs only to God.

We can therefore hope in the glory of heaven promised by God to those who love him and do his will.92 In every circumstance, each one of us should hope, with the grace of God, to persevere "to the end"93 and to obtain the joy of heaven, as God's eternal reward for the good works accomplished with the grace of Christ. In hope, the Church prays for "all men to be saved."94 She longs to be united with Christ, her Bridegroom, in the glory of heaven:
Hope, O my soul, hope. You know neither the day nor the hour. Watch carefully, for everything passes quickly, even though your impatience makes doubtful what is certain, and turns a very short time into a long one. Dream that the more you struggle, the more you prove the love that you bear your God, and the more you will rejoice one day with your Beloved, in a happiness and rapture that can never end. CCC 1821

  • My best friend and beloved mentor, shot her 12 year daughter in her sleep and then shot herself, burning the house down behind them. She was in a really bad place with her husband and divorce (it was bad and apparently unsustainable). I was tormented by what happened at her funeral. I had placed a white rosebud on the daughter’s casket and felt peace. However, when I placed the white rosebud on my dear friend’s casket, I freaked out! Several formless black DEMONS arose from her casket! At that time, I did not realize she had shot her daughter and herself before the fire finished the house. I was hysterical and could not stay in the room. I went back to work, and the first staff member who approached me, asked “Who is that lady over your left shoulder? She says her name is Abby, and she is holding a white rosebud! ” I did not know this person, had not even seen her before! Nor had I said a word to anyone! Then she said, “She says to tell you she cannot leave you like this!” I almost fell in the floor! There is a long story here, but my Reiki Master told me that my love had released her demons. All I could think of was, if these are demons, and only a few, it must be unimaginable to go to hell for eternity, not being able to separate yourself from them. My heart breaks for those who are not believers…God gave me a small indication, and that’s more than enough for me…

Reiki is from the new era, is an ocult practice, strictly against Chatolics believes and teachings. One should put all your believes and faith in God only. God bless you!

The bible says, Demons present themselves as Angels of Light ….. Reiki is one way these demons present themselves … These demons present half truths to us to turn us away from the fullness of truth …. I was a New Ager ….. I know your heart is in the right place, but you are mistaken to be involved in this kind of spiritual practice …… You are in my prayers Rose …..May God show you the fullness of His truth and the right path to attain it. May God have mercy on us all. Amen.

  • According to Jude 1:7, the populations of Sodom and Gomorrah are already in hell as an example to the rest of us.

    • Debbie says:

Haydock’s Catholic Bible Commentary 1859 edition. states this about Jude 1:7 ……..Having given themselves over to[7] fornication, or to excessive uncleanness. — Going after other flesh, and seeking unnatural lusts, with those of the same sex. (Witham) — Impurity punished by fire and sulphur. Fire is a punishment proportioned to the criminal passion of the voluptuous. That of Sodom was most dreadful, but then it was of short duration. There is another fire that will never be extinguished.

Reiki is in the category of Sorcery. It comes with its own demons. I would get rid of that so fast….and get to Confession. It is not to be practiced. Liz is right!

Is there scripture that says there is a “purgatory”? Is that biblical?

  • Go to 50:00 and watch from there.

The Church actually does and has always taught that Judas is in Hell. Copy/pasted:
“A) In Holy Scripture, Jesus has – and three times, formally announced the damnation of Judas. [Jn 6: 70; Mt 26:24; Jn 17:12]” (p. 131)
“B) Tradition of the Church’s Faith bears witness to the damnation of Judas. (1) The Church celebrates each Apostle’s feast, but She never celebrated Judas’… That proves She has always believed he was not in Heaven. (2) Knowing Judas was not in Heaven, neither did Church ever pray for him to get there… that’s the proof She has always believed he wasn’t in Purgatory either.” (p. 134)
“C) The Church’s Magisterium also teaches that Judas is in Hell. Saint Peter, the first Pope, in the exercise of his universal and infallible Magisterium, during the first synod of Bishops gathered by and under his supreme authority, teaches that Judas “has gone to his own place”. [Ac 1:25]” (p. 134) Moreover, in three places the Catechism of the Council of Trent (the ordinary Magisterium) says that “Judas has not profited from Redemption and that he has lost his soul” (p. 135)

What about the rich man who asked for Lazarus to give him a drop of water? He’s in Hell according to the Bible.

  • Beth says:

“For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even their name is forgotten.” Ecclesiastes 9:5
