Full Question
Is arranged marriage sinful and invalid?

Answer

The most important element needed to make any marriage valid is the full and unreserved consent of both parties, arranged marriage is not as common as it was many years ago but it is still in existence in some parts of the world
If the spouses wholeheartedly accept one another and consent to the marriage then it is valid; arranged marriage in itself is not sinful, it’s all about the will of the spouses involved; therefore, if any of the spouses was forced into the marriage or did not consent to marrying the other spouse, that marriage is not valid.
once again emphasizing that the most essential element is full and unreserved consent of both spouses to enter into a lifelong relationship till death do them part. If any marriage lacks it, the marriage is invalid; arranged or not.
