Pope Francis encourage the communities of an Italian Saint

The Italian St. Luigi Guanella (1842-1915) is the founder of the Daughters of St. Mary of Providence, the Servants of Charity, and the Pious Union of St. Joseph. Since after the saint’s death, his communities have been serving the church and humanity much more effectively and carrying the fire Saint Luigi handed down to them. They help spiritually broken people back up their feet in God again and help the poor.
Pope Francis met with the communities and thanked them for their good works so far. He also gave them words of encouragement telling them to imitate their founder’s deep trust in the Father’s loving providence, his loving gaze at Christ and his neighbor, and his sense of urgency in assisting the needy.
