Pope Francis receives Philippine President

Pope Francis on Friday welcomed the Philippine President, Benigno S. Aquino III to the Vatican. The President has subsequently met with Cardinal Pietro Parolin in the company of Msgr. Antoine Camilleri.
The Holy See Press Office reported that the President have come to vatican to dialogue on how the church have been and could still remain being the positive impact it has being on the citizens of his nation. They discussed the peace and progress of particular regions of Philippine states that are as a result of the church’s contributions.
Furthermore, there was an exchange of views on the international and regional situation, especially in reference to the issue of climate change and the COP21 Conference currently taking place in Paris.
