In his prayer intentions for October, the Pope asks for prayers for journalists and World Mission Day
In his prayer intentions for October, Pope Francis has urged journalists to be responsible in their reporting of global events.
In the video released online, the Pope said that he hopes journalists will always be “motivated by respect for the truth and a strong sense of ethics.”
The Pontiff commended journalists for providing information leading to “compromise for the good of humanity and the planet.”
The Pope’s prayer intentions for October also include the success of World Mission Day. The website for The Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network urges the faithful to pray that: “World Mission Day may renew within all Christian communities the joy of the Gospel and the responsibility to announce it.”
