The Vatican has announced that the Papal exhortation of Pope Francis on the Synod on Family will be released on Friday 8th April. The Synod which discussed the issuance of the Holy Communion to divorcees and the civilly remarried as well as the Church’s pastoral approach to gay Catholics.
The exhortation document is said by Vatican to be called “Amoris Laetitia” which means “The Joy of Love”. The document will be presented by Cardinal Lorenzo Baldisseri, general secretary of the Synod of Bishops, and Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, Archbishop of Vienna; to journalists in both Italian, French, English, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
The Last Synod meeting which lasted for three-weeks was attended by 270 Bishops. The Papal document of the meeting which is to be revealed on the 8th of April is customary as inferred by Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican Secretary of State, when he said that the papal document of the last year’s Synod “will be based on the conclusions of the synod, as is the tradition”.
The married couple Professor Francesco Miano, lecturer in moral philosophy at the University of Rome at Tor Vergata, and Professor Giuseppina De Simone in Miano, lecturer in philosophy at the Theological Faculty of Southern Italy in Naples, will also be present.
