Hassan Rouhani will visit Pope Francis next month according to a report by Reuters
The Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, will meet Pope Francis next month during his visit to Italy, according to a report by Reuters.
A diplomatic source said the visit would take place between November 14-15 and that Rouhani would meet the Pope, along with the President Sergio Mattarella Italian and the Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.
The Iranian leader is also expected in Paris between November 16 and 18.
Paolo Gentiloni invited Rouhani to Rome last August during a visit to Tehran.
A number of European ministers have visited Tehran since Iran agreed to curb its nuclear program in exchange for economic sanctions relief.
