Someone sent the Pope a letter with 3 bullets!

A letter containing 3 bullets addressed to Pope Francis was intercepted by the Carabinieri Corps of Milan, Italy.

“The envelope, according to what has been learned, contained three Flobert-type pellets, caliber 9 millimeters. The text, written in pen in a barely legible way, is addressed to “The Pope – Vatican City – Piazza San Pietro in Rome”. The carabinieri were alerted during the night by the head of the center, which is located in via Archimede in Peschiera Borromeo”.

The person who sent the letter is said to be known to the Vatican gendarmes, with whom the Italian carabinieri will cooperate to ascertain the danger of such a gesture to the Pope. Whilst they are carrying out this much-needed investigation and tracking the movement of the said perpetrator, let us remember to keep the Pope in our prayers.

USCCB’s Prayer for Pope Francis:

O God, shepherd and ruler of all the faithful,
look favorably on your servant Francis,
whom you have set at the head of your Church as her shepherd;

Grant, we pray, that by word and example
he may be of service to those over whom he presides
so that, together with the flock entrusted to his care,
he may come to everlasting life.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the
unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Amen.
