Vatican's Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi pays tribute to David Bowie

Music legend,David Bowie’s death inspired a heartfelt tribute from the President of the Vatican’s pontifical council for culture, Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi. He tweeted lyrics from the rock star’s biggest hit – “Space Oddity”.

and may God’s love be with you (David Bowie)” He said.
David Bowie passed away at the age of sixty-nine. He was ill with Cancer. His death was announced by his son, Director Duncan Jones put up a picture of his smiling father, with the line, “Very sorry and sad to say it’s true. I’ll be offline for a while. Love to all.”
Duncan released a statement on Sunday via a social media.
The statement said:
“David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18-month battle with cancer,” it said.
“While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.”
Among the tributes pouring in for the late legend was British Prime Minister David Camerons’
“I grew up listening to and watching the pop genius David Bowie. He was a master of re-invention, who kept getting it right. A huge loss,” he said.
