Spanish Bishop Damián Iguacén Borau was ordained a priest in 1941.
The world’s oldest bishop died Tuesday at the age of 104.
Bishop Damián Iguacén Borau served as the bishop of three different Spanish dioceses, and retired from the last one in 1991.
He was a priest of the Spanish city of Huesca, where he was ordained in 1941.
He turned 104 on February 12, and made his last public appearance then.
A funeral for the bishop will be held November 26 and he will be buried in Huesca’s cathedral.
There are currently four more bishops in the world who are in their 100s, one each in China, Rwanda, Canada, and Brazil.
