O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, and the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all Apostles of Prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.
Amen.
For the fifty days of Eastertide.
Risen Lord Jesus, as the women fled from the empty tomb in fear and great joy, may we too be filled with awe before the mystery of your Resurrection. Open our hearts that we may recognize you in the breaking of the bread, and send us out, as you sent your apostles, to proclaim the Good News that death is conquered and life reigns. You who live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen.
John 6:22-29
Marian antiphon of Eastertide, replacing the Angelus.
Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia. For he whom you were worthy to bear, alleluia. Has risen as he said, alleluia. Pray for us to God, alleluia. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia. For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia. Let us pray. O God, who through the Resurrection of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, have been pleased to gladden the world, grant, we pray, that through his Mother, the Virgin Mary, we may receive the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord.
Amen.
