Saint Joseph, you are the chaste and loving spouse of the Virgin Mary, the foster father of Jesus, the provider and protector of the Holy Family and of all families. We have complete confidence in your loving care for new life and in your fidelity to the family. Despise not our prayer but graciously hear us. Amen.
Prayer to Saint Joseph for a Happy Death

Prayer to Saint Joseph Before Mass
O blessed Joseph, happy man whose privilege it was, not only to see and to hear that God whom many a king has longed to see, yet saw not, longed to hear, yet heard not; but also to carry him in your arms and to kiss him, to clothe him and to watch over him!
Lead: Pray for us, blessed Joseph.
Response: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray. God, who has conferred upon us a royal priesthood, we pray to you to give us grace to minister at your holy altars with hearts as clean and lives as blameless as that blessed Joseph who was found worthy to hold in his arms and with all reverence to carry your only begotten Son, born of the Virgin Mary. Enable us this day to receive worthily the sacred Body and Blood of your Son, and help us to win an everlasting reward in the world to come. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer to Saint Jude
Saint Jude, glorious Apostle, faithful servant and friend of Jesus: The name of the traitor has caused you to be forgotten by many, but the true Church invokes you universally as the Patron of things despaired of. Pray for me, that finally I may receive the consolations and the succor of Heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, particularly (here make your request), and that I may bless God with the Elect throughout eternity. Amen.
Saint Jude, Apostle, martyr and relative of our Lord Jesus Christ, of Mary and of Joseph, intercede for us. Amen.
Prayer to Mary for Holy Vocations
by Pope John Paul II
O Mary, Mother of God, Mother of the Church, in this hour so meaningful for us, we are one heart and one mind: as were Peter, the Apostles, the brethren, joined in prayer, with you, in the Cenac1e. We entrust to you our lives. To you we all, one and all, repeat, “totus tuus ego sum,” that you may take up our consecration and unite it with that of Jesus and your own, as an oblation to God the Father, for the life of the world. We pray you to look upon the needs of your children, as you did at Cana, when you were touched to the heart by that family’s situation. Today, the greatest need of this your family is for vocations: presbyteral, diaconal, religious and missionary.
So, reach with your “suppliant omnipotence” the hearts of many our brethren, that they may listen, understand, and respond to the voice of the Lord. Repeat to them, in the depths of their consciences, the invitation addressed to the servants at Cana: Do whatever Jesus tells you.
We shall be ministers of God and of the Church, vowed to evangelize, sanctify, nourish our brethren: teach us and give us the attitudes of the good shepherd; feed and give increase to our apostolic dedication; strengthen and ever regenerate our love for the suffering; enlighten and enliven our resolve toward virginity for the Kingdom of Heaven; infuse and keep us in the sense of fraternity and communion. Amen.
Prayer to Mary Immaculate
Mary, Mother of God, your greatness began at the first instant of your existence with the privilege of your Immaculate Conception. After Almighty God and the Sacred Humanity of Jesus, there is no being so great as you. It is true, you are a creature, and, therefore, far beneath the Supreme Being. But you are a creature so holy and so perfect that you are superior to all other creatures. God alone could make you so holy and so beautiful, and He did so to make you worthy of the dignity of being the Mother of Jesus, the Son of God, the Divine Word.
It was fitting that you, a Virgin Mother, should conceive the Man who was also the Son of God. It was fitting that you should be adorned with the greatest purity ever possible to a creature. You are the Virgin to whom God the Father decreed to give His only Son–the Divine Word, equal to Himself in all things–that entering the natural order He might become your Son as well as His. You are the immaculate Virgin whom the Son Himself chose to make His Mother. You are the immaculate Virgin whom the Holy Spirit willed to make His Bride and in whom He would work the tremendous miracle of the Incarnation. The privilege of the Immaculate Conception was suitable to your dignity.
Mary, my immaculate Mother, help me to imitate your sinlessness by keeping my soul free from every willful sin by the faithful observance of God’s commandments. Help me to imitate your fullness of grace by receiving Holy Communion frequently, where I shall obtain the sanctifying grace that will make my soul holy and pleasing to God, and the actual graces I need to practice virtue. Through prayer may grace fill my soul with the life of God and transform me into a living image of Jesus, just as you were.
Father, you prepared the Virgin Mary to be the worthy Mother of your Son. You made it possible for her to share beforehand in the salvation of your Son, Jesus Christ, who would bring life by His death, and kept her without sin from the first moment of her conception. Give us the grace by her prayers ever to live in your presence without sin. We ask this through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
A Prayer to Our Lady of Sorrows
O holy Mother, most afflicted by the bitter sorrow which you endured at the foot of the cross during the three hours’ agony of Jesus: we implore you, the children of your sorrows, in our last agony, that through your intercession we may pass from the bed of death to form a crown for you in heaven.
Pray 3 Our Fathers
Pray 3 Hail Marys.
O Mary, Mother of grace, Mother of mercy, protect us from the enemy and receive us at the hour of death.
From sudden or unprovided death,
O Lord, deliver us.
From the snares of the devil,
O Lord, deliver us.
From everlasting death,
O Lord, deliver us.
Let us pray. O God, who for the salvation of mankind gave an example and a help in the Passion and Death of your Son: grant, we beseech you, that in the hour of our death, we may experience the effects of this, your charity, and deserve to be partakers in the glory of Him, our Redeemer, through the same Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph,
I give you my heart and my soul.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph,
Assist me in my last agony.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph,
May I breathe forth my soul in peace with you. Amen.
Prayer to Saint Lucy (304 AD)
O God, our Creator and Redeemer, mercifully hear our prayers that as we venerate your servant, Saint Lucy, for the light of faith you bestowed upon her, you would increase and preserve this same light in our souls that we may be able to avoid evil, to do good, and to abhor nothing so much as the blindness and the darkness of evil and of sin. Relying on your goodness, O God, we humbly ask you, by the intercessory prayers of your servant, Saint Lucy, that you would give perfect vision to our eyes, that they may serve for your greater honor and glory and for the salvation of our souls in this world, that we may come to the enjoyment of your unfailing light of the Lamb of God in paradise. Saint Lucy, virgin and martyr, hear our prayers and obtain our petitions. Amen.
Prayer for a Teacher
Heavenly Father, who promised that all those who instruct others in the ways of holiness will shine as stars for all eternity, fill our hearts and minds with true knowledge and the art of teaching. Give us patience and understanding, justice and prudence, humility and fear of the Lord. Grant us wisdom and charity so that with a pure and holy love of God we ourselves may enjoy all these gifts and impart them to our pupils. Teach our children to be obedient to your laws and docile to your inspirations. Let them be instruments of your peace in their homes, in our land, and in the family of nations as becomes children of the sons of God in the Mystical Body of Christ. May the blessings of your sevenfold Gifts be in all who teach and in all who learn through the Holy Spirit who is the Love of the Father and the Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
