A Morning Prayer to the Trinity

0

Most holy and adorable Trinity, one God in three Persons, I believe that you are here present; I adore you with the deepest humility, and render to you, with my whole heart, the homage which is due to your sovereign majesty. O my God, I most humbly thank you for all the favors you have bestowed upon me to the present moment. I give you thanks from the depth of my heart that you have created me after your own image and likeness, that you have redeemed me by the precious blood of your dear Son, and that you have preserved me and brought me safe to the beginning of another day. I offer to you, O Lord, my whole being, and in particular all my thoughts, words, actions and sufferings of this day. I consecrate them all to the glory of your name, beseeching you that through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Savior, they may all find acceptance in your sight. May your divine love animate them, and may they all tend to your greater glory. Adorable Jesus, my Savior and Master, model of all perfection, I resolve and will endeavor, this day, to imitate your example, to be, like you, mild, humble, chaste, zealous, charitable and resigned. I will redouble my efforts that I may not fall, this day, into any of those sins which I have heretofore committed (especially), and which I sincerely desire to forsake. O my God, you know my poverty and weakness, and that I am unable to do anything good without you; deny me not, O God, the help of your grace; proportion it to my necessities; give me strength to avoid everything which you forbid, and to practice the good which you have commanded; and enable me to bear patiently all the trials which it may please you to send me. Our Father + Hail Mary.

One may add here the Acts of Faith, Hope, and Love.

O holy Virgin, Mother of God, my Mother and Patroness, I place myself under your protection; I throw myself with confidence into the arms of your compassion. Be to me, O Mother of mercy, my refuge in distress, my consolation under suffering, my advocate with thy adorable Son, now and at the hour of my death. Amen.

O faithful Guardian and Father of Virgins, Blessed Joseph, to whom was confided the care of Jesus, and of Mary the Queen of Virgins, I most humbly ask you, by the love with which you bore Jesus and Mary, to obtain for me that, being preserved from every stain during my whole life, I may ever be able to serve them with unspotted purity of mind and body. Amen.

Novena in Honor of Saint Anthony of Padua

0

Saint Anthony, glorious for the fame of your miracles, obtain for me from God’s mercy this favor that I desire (your request). Since you were so gracious to poor sinners, do not regard my lack of virtue but consider the glory of God which will be exalted once more through you by the granting of the petition that I now earnestly present to you.

Glorious Wonderworker, Saint Anthony, father of the poor and comforter of the afflicted, I ask for your help. You have come to my aid with such loving care and have comforted me so generously. I offer you my heartfelt thanks. Accept this offering of my devotion and love and with it my earnest promise which I now renew, to live always in the love of God and my neighbor. Continue to shield me graciously with your protection, and obtain for me the grace of being able one day to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, there to praise with you the everlasting mercies of God. Amen.

A Morning Prayer

0

Heavenly Father, I offer you this day all that I shall think or do or say, uniting it with what was done by Jesus Christ, your only Son. Amen.

O Jesus, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day. I join myself to all your people, in praying for the salvation of souls, the reunion of all Christians, the grace of repentance, and the intentions of the Holy Father. I wish to make my life this day a prayer on behalf of (name). Amen.

Novena in Honor of Saint Anne

0

Glorious Saint Anne, I desire to honor you with a special devotion. I choose you, after the Blessed Virgin, as my spiritual mother and protectress. To you I entrust my soul and my body, all my spiritual and temporal interests, as well as those of my family. To you I consecrate my mind, that in all things it may be enlightened by faith; my heart, that you may keep it pure and fill it with love for Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and yourself; my will, that like yours, it may always be one with the Will of God.

Good Saint Anne, filled with love for those who invoke you with compassion for those who suffer, I confidently place before you my earnest petition:

(your request)

I beg you to recommend my petition to your daughter, the Blessed Virgin Mary, that both Mary and you may present it to Jesus. Through your earnest prayers may my request be granted. But if what I ask should not be according to the Will of God, obtain for me that which will be for the greater benefit of my soul. By the power and the grace with which God has blessed you, extend to me your helping hand.

But most of all, merciful Saint Anne, I beg you to help me to master my evil inclinations and temptations, and to avoid all occasions of sin. Obtain for me the grace of never offending God, of fulfilling faithfully all the duties of my state of life, and of practicing all those virtues that are needful for my salvation.

Like you, may I belong to God in life and in death through perfect love. And after having loved and honored you on earth as a truly devoted child, may I, through your prayers, have the privilege of loving and honoring you in heaven with the Angels and Saints throughout eternity.

Good Saint Anne, mother of her who is our life, our sweetness and our hope, pray to her for me and obtain my request. Amen.

Memorare to Saint Anne:

Remember, good Saint Anne, whose name means grace and mercy, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I come before you, sinful and sorrowful. Holy mother of the Immaculate Virgin Mary and loving grandmother of the Savior, do not reject my appeal, but hear me and answer my prayer. Amen.

Novenas and Prayers to Saint Joseph

Saint Joseph, you are the faithful protector and intercessor of all who love and venerate you. I have special confidence in you. You are powerful with God and will never abandon your faithful servants. I humbly invoke you and commend myself, with all who are dear to me, to your intercession. By the love you have for Jesus and Mary, do not abandon me during life, and assist me at the hour of my death.

Glorious Saint Joseph, spouse of the immaculate Virgin, Foster-father of Jesus Christ, obtain for me a pure, humble, and charitable mind, and perfect resignation to the Divine Will. Be my guide, my father, and my model through life that I may merit to die as you did in the arms of Jesus and Mary.

Loving Saint Joseph, faithful follower of Jesus Christ, I raise my heart to you to implore your powerful intercession in obtaining from the Heart of Jesus all the graces necessary for my spiritual and temporal welfare, particularly the grace of a happy death, and the special grace I now implore: (Mention your request). Guardian of the Word Incarnate, I am confident that your prayers on my behalf will be graciously heard before the throne of God.

Memorare of Saint Joseph:

Remember, most pure spouse of Mary, ever Virgin, my loving protector, Saint Joseph, that no one ever had recourse to your protection or asked your aid without obtaining relief. Confiding, therefore, in your goodness, I come before you and humbly implore you. Despise not my petitions, Foster-father of the Redeemer, but graciously receive them.

Consecration of the Family:

Jesus, our most loving Redeemer, you came to enlighten the world with your teaching and example. You willed to spend the greater part of your life in humble obedience to Mary and Joseph in the poor home of Nazareth. In this way you sanctified that Family which was to be an example for all Christian families.

Jesus, Mary, Joseph! Graciously accept our family which we dedicate and consecrate to you. Be pleased to protect, guard, and keep it in sincere faith, in peace, and in the harmony of Christian charity. By conforming ourselves to the Divine model of your Family, may we all attain to eternal happiness.

Mary, Mother of Jesus and our Mother, by your merciful intercession make this our humble offering acceptable to Jesus, and obtain for us graces and blessings. Saint Joseph, most holy guardian of Jesus and Mary, help us by your prayers in all our spiritual and temporal needs so that we may praise Jesus, our Divine Savior, together with Mary and you for all eternity.

For the Church:

Glorious Saint Joseph, powerful protector of Holy Church, I implore your heavenly aid for the whole Church on earth, especially for the Holy Father and all bishops, priests, and religious. Comfort the afflicted, console the dying, and convert sinners and heretics. Have pity on the poor souls in purgatory, especially on my own family, relatives, and friends. Obtain for them the speedy remission of their punishment, that with you and all the Saints and Angels they may praise and glorify the Blessed Trinity forever.

Prayer to the Heavenly Father:

God, our Father, creator and ruler of the universe, in every age you call men and women to develop and use their gifts for the good of others. With Saint Joseph as our example and guide, help us to do the work you have asked and come to the rewards you have promised. Inspired by the example of Saint Joseph, may our lives manifest your love and may we rejoice forever in your peace. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for Thursdays

Prayer for Thursdays – In Honor of the Holy Eucharist

Thursday is the day the Church recalls the institution of the Holy Eucharist — the sacrament of Christ’s abiding presence among us. On this day, we remember the Last Supper, where Our Lord, on the night before He suffered, gave Himself completely to us in the form of bread and wine. In the Eucharist, Heaven touches earth; God dwells with His people and nourishes our souls with His very Body and Blood.

It is a mystery of love so profound that every Communion is both a renewal of Calvary and a foretaste of eternity. As we honor this sacred gift today, let us approach the Lord with gratitude and reverence, asking that His presence in the Eucharist may transform our hearts, unite us in charity, and strengthen us for the journey of faith.

Now, with hearts lifted to the Lord, let us pray:

Prayer:

O God, who have accomplished the work of human redemption through the Paschal Mystery of your Only Begotten Son, graciously grant that we, who confidently proclaim, under sacramental signs, the Death and Resurrection of Christ, may experience continued increase of your saving grace.

May sharing at the heavenly table sanctify us, Lord, we pray, so that through the Body and Blood of Christ the whole family of believers may be bound together.

Prayer for Wednesdays

Prayer for Wednesday – In Honor of Saint Joseph

Wednesday is traditionally dedicated to Saint Joseph, the humble and faithful guardian of the Holy Family. Silent in Scripture yet powerful in virtue, Joseph teaches us the beauty of obedience, quiet strength, and trust in God’s providence. He is the model of workers, the protector of families, and the defender of the Church.

As we turn to him midweek, we are reminded that holiness often hides in ordinary duties — in faithfulness, purity, and silent endurance. Let us place our cares under his fatherly protection, asking that he guide us to live with integrity and peace, just as he did in serving the mystery of God made flesh.

Now, with confidence in his intercession, let us pray:

Prayer

O God, who in your inexpressible providence were pleased to choose Saint Joseph as spouse of the most holy Mother of your Son, grant, we pray, that we, who revere him as our protector on earth, may be worthy of his heavenly intercession.

Lord, may we live for you always in justice and holiness, helped by the example and intercession of Saint Joseph, who in carrying out your great mysteries served you as a man just and obedient.
