PRAYER FOR THIS EVENING (SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7)

Prayer for the Evening

Vigil of the Thirty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

Hope in God! Let us praise him still!

Glory to the Father…. Alleluia!

HYMN

Rejoice, rejoice, believers,

And let your lights appear.

The evening is advancing,

And darker night is near.

The Bridegroom is arising,

And soon he will draw nigh.

Up, pray, and watch, and wrestle:

At midnight comes the cry.

See that your lamps are burning;

Replenish them with oil.

And wait for your salvation,

The end of earthly toil.

The watchers on the mountain

Proclaim the Bridegroom near.

Go meet him as he cometh,

With alleluias clear.

Our hope and expectation,

O Jesus, now appear!

Arise, thou Sun so longed for,

O’er this benighted sphere!

With hearts and hands uplifted,

We plead, O Lord, to see

The day of earth’s redemption

That brings us unto thee.

PSALM 42:2-4, 6, 9

My soul is thirsting for you, O Lord my God. (cf. Ps 63:2)

Desire sets our compass. Is our desire for Christ’s coming strong enough to sustain us when the night is long and our hearts grow weary?

Like the deer that yearns

for running streams,

so my soul is yearning

for you, my God.

My soul is thirsting for God,

the God of my life;

when can I enter and see

the face of God?

My tears have become my bread,

by night, by day,

as I hear it said all the day long:

“Where is your God?”

Why are you cast down, my soul,

why groan within me?

Hope in God; I will praise him still,

my savior and my God.

By day the Lord will send

his loving kindness;

by night I will sing to him,

praise the God of my life.

Glory to the Father….

Word of God (Song of Songs 5:2)

I was sleeping, but my heart kept vigil;/ I heard my lover knocking:/ “Open to me, my sister, my beloved,/ my dove, my perfect one!/ For my head is wet with dew,/ my locks with the moisture of the night.”

Consider the Lord and his strength;/

constantly seek his face. (Ps 105:4)

CANTICLE OF MARY

My soul yearns for you in the night,/ yes, my spirit within me keeps vigil for you. (Is 26:9)

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,

my spirit rejoices in God my Savior

for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.

From this day all generations will call me blessed:

the Almighty has done great things for me,

and holy is his Name.

He has mercy on those who fear him

in every generation.

He has shown the strength of his arm,

he has scattered the proud in their conceit.

He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,

and has lifted up the lowly.

He has filled the hungry with good things,

and the rich he has sent away empty.

He has come to the help of his servant Israel

for he has remembered his promise of mercy,

the promise he made to our fathers,

to Abraham and his children for ever.

Glory to the Father…

INTERCESSIONS

As evening falls, we pray:

R/Let us keep vigil for you, O Lord!

When our longing for you grows cold:

– inflame us with your Spirit. R/

When we choose the sleep offered by soul-dulling distractions:

– awaken us to your love. R/

When we lose hope:

– stir us to renewed zeal for the fulfillment of your promises. R/

(Personal intentions)

Our Father….

May the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we may abound in hope by the power of the holy Spirit. Amen. (cf. Rom 15:13)

MARIAN ANTIPHON

Antiphon of the Divine Office

My soul magnifies the Lord,

for God has regarded my humility.

Salve, Regina, mater misericordiae;

vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra, salve.

Ad te clamamus, exsules filii Evae.

Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes

in hac lacrimarum valle.

Eia ergo, advocata nostra,

illos tuos misericordes oculos

ad nos converte.

Et Iesum, benedictum fructum ventris tui,

nobis post hoc exsilium ostende.

O clemens, O pia, O dulcis Virgo Maria.

Hail, holy Queen, mother of mercy,

our life, our sweetness, and our hope.

To you do we cry,

poor banished children of Eve.

To you do we send up our sighs,

mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.

Turn then, O most gracious advocate,

your eyes of mercy toward us,

and after this our exile

show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus.

O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

V/ Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,

R/ That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Alma Redemptoris Mater, quae pervia caeli

porta manes, et stella maris, succurre cadenti,

surgere qui curat, populo: tu quae genuisti,

natura mirante, tuum sanctum Genitorem,

Virgo prius ac posterius, Gabrielis ab ore

sumens illud Ave, peccatorum miserere.

Loving mother of the Redeemer,

gate of heaven, star of the sea,

assist your people who have fallen yet strive to rise again.

To the wonderment of nature you bore your Creator,

yet remained a virgin after as before.

You who received Gabriel’s joyful greeting,

have pity on us, poor sinners.

V/ Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,

R/ That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

PRAYER FOR THIS MORNING (SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7)

Blessed Virgin Mary; First Saturday of the Month

Prayer for the Morning

Through our Blessed Mother Mary,

we poor banished children of Eve

entrust ourselves to you, O Lord.

Glory to the Father…. Alleluia!

HYMN

Holy Mary, we implore thee,

By thy purity divine;

Help us bending here before thee,

Help us truly to be thine.

Thou unfolding wide the portals

Of the kingdom in the skies,

Holy Virgin, hast to mortals

Shown the land of paradise.

Thou, when deepest night infernal

Had for ages shrouded man,

Gavest us that Light eternal

Promised since the world began.

God in thee hath showered plenty

On the hungry and the weak;

Sending back the mighty empty,

Setting up on high the meek.

Teach, oh teach us, holy Mother,

How to conquer every sin,

How to love and help each other,

How the prize of life to win.

Thou to whom a child was given,

Greater than the sons of men,

Coming down from highest heaven,

To create this world again.

PSALM 84:6-13

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,/ whose hope is the Lord. (Jer 17:7)

The papal motto of Saint John Paul II was Totus Tuus (“totally yours”). This statement of trust in the Blessed Virgin Mary is not an unimportant factor in reflecting on the life of this great pope. John Paul, following the Marian piety of Saint Louis de Montfort, entrusted all his prayers and works to the Blessed Virgin Mary. We would do well to entrust all our cares and our very lives to her, for she is “the safest, easiest, shortest, and most perfect way” to Jesus and to sanctity (Treatise on the True Devotion to Mary 55).

They are happy, whose strength is in you,

in whose hearts are the roads to Zion.

As they go through the Bitter Valley

they make it a place of springs,

the autumn rain covers it with blessings.

They walk with ever growing strength,

they will see the God of gods in Zion.

O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer,

give ear, O God of Jacob.

Turn your eyes, O God, our shield,

look on the face of your anointed.

One day within your courts

is better than a thousand elsewhere.

The threshold of the house of God

I prefer to the dwellings of the wicked.

For the Lord God is a rampart, a shield;

he will give us his favor and glory.

The Lord will not refuse any good

to those who walk without blame.

Lord, God of hosts,

happy the man who trusts in you!

Glory to the Father….

Word of God (John 19:25-27)

Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.

Jesus is Mary’s only son, but her spiritual motherhood extends to all men whom indeed he came to save.

(CCC 501)

CANTICLE OF ZECHARIAH

She reaches out her hands to the poor,/ and extends her arms to the needy. (Prv 31:20)

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;

he has come to his people and set them free.

He has raised up for us a mighty savior,

born of the house of his servant David.

Through his holy prophets he promised of old

that he would save us from our enemies,

from the hands of all who hate us.

He promised to show mercy to our fathers

and to remember his holy covenant.

This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham:

to set us free from the hands of our enemies,

free to worship him without fear,

holy and righteous in his sight

all the days of our life.

You, my child, shall be called the prophet

of the Most High;

for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way,

to give his people knowledge of salvation

by the forgiveness of their sins.

In the tender compassion of our God

the dawn from on high shall break upon us,

to shine on those who dwell in darkness

and the shadow of death,

and to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Glory to the Father…

May we ever become more faithful children of this worthy Mother, that, being led by her maternal hand through the bitter valley of this life, we may arrive safely upon the heights of your heavenly Zion. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

PRAYER FOR THIS EVENING (FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6)

Prayer for the Evening

The Lord comforts those who have lost loved ones.

Let us give him thanks and praise.

Glory to the Father…. Alleluia!

HYMN

Now fades all earthly splendor,

The shades of night descend;

The dying of the daylight

Foretells creation’s end.

Though noon gives place to sunset,

Yet dark gives place to light:

The promise of tomorrow

With dawn’s new hope is bright.

The silver notes of morning

Will greet the rising sun,

As once the Easter glory

Shone round the Risen One.

So will the night of dying

Give place to heaven’s day,

And hope of heaven’s vision,

Will light our pilgrim way.

So will the new creation

Rise from the old reborn

To splendor in Christ’s glory

And everlasting morn.

All darkness will be ended

As faith gives place to sight

Of Father, Son and Spirit,

One God, in heaven’s light.

CANTICLE OF ISAIAH 49:9b-13

Hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the holy Spirit. (Rom 5:5)

The first Eucharistic Prayer refers to heaven as a place of “refreshment, light, and peace.” The heavenly Father longs for us to be united to him for ever, in perfect contentment.

Along the ways they shall find pasture,

on every bare height shall their pastures be.

They shall not hunger or thirst,

nor shall the scorching wind or the sun strike them;

For he who pities them leads them

and guides them beside springs of water.

I will cut a road through all my mountains,

and make my highways level.

See, some shall come from afar,

others from the north and the west,

and some from the land of Syene.

Sing out, O heavens, and rejoice, O earth,

break forth into song, you mountains.

For the Lord comforts his people

and shows mercy to his afflicted.

Glory to the Father….

Word of God (Lamentations 3:22-26)

The favors of the Lord are not exhausted,/ his mercies are not spent;/ They are renewed each morning,/ so great is his faithfulness./ My portion is the Lord, says my soul;/ therefore will I hope in him./

Good is the Lord to the one who waits for him,/ to the soul that seeks him;/ It is good to hope in silence/ for the saving help of the Lord.

God will ransom me from death/

and take my soul to himself. (cf. Ps 49:16)

CANTICLE OF MARY

Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. (Mt 25:34)

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,

my spirit rejoices in God my Savior

for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.

From this day all generations will call me blessed:

the Almighty has done great things for me,

and holy is his Name.

INTERCESSIONS

Mindful of your saving love, we pray for the holy souls in purgatory:

R/Bring them to their heavenly reward!

Through your cross and Resurrection:

– by which you conquered death itself. R/

Through the intercession of the Church:

– remember the good they have done, and forgive

the evil. R/

May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God,

– rest in peace. R/

(Personal intentions)

Our Father….

May the choir of angels receive us and, with Lazarus, who was once poor, may we enjoy eternal rest. Amen. (In Paradisum)

PRAYER FOR THIS MORNING (FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6)

First Friday of the Month

Prayer for the Morning

Be strong, let your heart take courage,/

all who hope in the Lord. (Ps 31:25)

Glory to the Father…. Alleluia!

HYMN

Lead, kindly Light, amidst th’encircling gloom,

Lead thou me on!

The night is dark, and I am far from home;

Lead thou me on!

Keep thou my feet; I do not ask to see

The distant scene; one step enough for me.

I was not ever thus, nor prayed that thou

Shouldst lead me on;

I loved to choose and see my path; but now

Lead thou me on!

I loved the garish day, and, spite of fears,

Pride ruled my will: remember not past years!

So long thy power hath blessed me, sure it still

Will lead me on.

O’er moor and fen, o’er crag and torrent, till

The night is gone,

And with the morn those angel faces smile,

Which I have loved long since, and lost awhile!

PSALM 16

If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. (Rom 14:8)

The Church spends the month of November making additional offerings for the souls in purgatory, and so we pray for all those who have died with hearts open to God’s love. As we pray for their souls to be purified and led to heaven, we ourselves follow the path Jesus has laid out for us, in hope of reaching the same happy end.

Preserve me, God, I take refuge in you.

I say to the Lord: “You are my God.

My happiness lies in you alone.”

He has put into my heart a marvelous love

for the faithful ones who dwell in his land.

Those who choose other gods increase their sorrows.

Never will I offer their offerings of blood.

Never will I take their name upon my lips.

O Lord, it is you who are my portion and cup;

it is you yourself who are my prize.

The lot marked out for me is my delight:

welcome indeed the heritage that falls to me!

I will bless the Lord who gives me counsel,

who even at night directs my heart.

I keep the Lord ever in my sight:

since he is at my right hand, I shall stand firm.

And so my heart rejoices, my soul is glad;

even my body shall rest in safety.

For you will not leave my soul among the dead,

nor let your beloved know decay.

You will show me the path of life,

the fullness of joy in your presence,

at your right hand happiness for ever.

Glory to the Father….

Word of God (Romans 8:35, 37-39)

What will separate us from the love of Christ? Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or the sword? No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This saying is trustworthy:/ If we have died with him/ we shall also live with him. (2 Tm 2:11)

CANTICLE OF ZECHARIAH

God did not make death,/ nor does he rejoice in the destruction of the living./ For he fashioned all things that they might have being. (Wis 1:13-14)

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;

he has come to his people and set them free.

He has raised up for us a mighty savior,

born of the house of his servant David.

INTERCESSIONS

We entrust the souls of our loved ones, and indeed all the faithful departed, to the hands of our heavenly Father, as we pray:

R/Lead your people home!

Remember your Son’s Paschal sacrifice for their sake:

– and look upon them with mercy. R/

Forgive the sins they have committed through human weakness:

– and may the angels bring them to your side. R/

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,

– and may perpetual light shine upon them. R/

(Personal intentions)

Our Father….

Loving Father, who pour out your love abundantly upon all who seek you, draw unto yourself the souls of all the faithful departed, that they who strove to live by the light of your law while here on earth may, by our prayers, be rushed to their heavenly reward. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Feeling weak? Find strength in the Heart of Jesus with this prayer

0

Whether you are spiritually or physically weak, go to the Heart of Jesus and find the strength you need.

There may be times in our lives when we are feeling especially weak. This could be on account of a physical ailment, with the inability to move our weary body, or it could be a spiritual weakness, without the strength to persevere in prayer.

Whatever weakness you are feeling right now, it is most beneficial to hide yourself in the Heart of Jesus and rely on God’s strength, not your own.

Here is a short prayer from the Golden Manual that turns to the Heart of Jesus for strength, recognizing our own weakness and how Jesus’ strength can fulfill the desires of our hearts.

Every human heart has its weakness, and it is in this precisely that you must especially propose to yourself, the example of this most holy Heart. What is there wanting in you, O divine Heart, of the qualities of which I stand most in need? O living Temple of the divinity, my heart is in darkness, and in you the fullness of wisdom inhabits corporally—my heart is weak, yours is the throne of omnipotence-my heart is fearful and afflicted, oppressed, and craving after happiness, but despairing to find it; in you alone, and in imitating you is my true happiness to be sought, and in you for the future I will seek it. Grant me the strength I need and may I always turn to your Divine Heart in my times of trial.

Amen.

Put your trust in Jesus’ heart with this prayer

0

St. Margaret Mary Alacoque gives us this short prayer to increase our trust in God.

Even though we may believe that God is love, we often have a difficult time trusting in him. We frequently doubt that God loves us, or doubt that God has a plan for our lives.

During those times, we need to cry out to God and renew our trust in him.

Here is a prayer from St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, placing our trust in Jesus’ most Sacred Heart.

Heart of love I place all my trust in you, for though I fear all things from my weakness, I hope all things from your mercies.

Night prayer to protect yourself from evil

Place yourself under the protection of the angels and saints with this night prayer.

At the end of the day, we all want to sleep in peace. Sometimes we may have anxiety about potential things that could happen during the night.

One of the best things we can do is place ourselves in the loving protection of God. He can protect us and calm our fears so that we can sleep in peace.

Here is a prayer from Fr. Xavier Lasance in his book With God that asks God as well as all the angels and saints to protect us during the night.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph and ail the saints pray for us to Our Lord that we may be preserved this night from sin and evil.O my good angel, whom God has appointed to be my guardian, watch over me during this night.May Our Lord bless us and preserve us from all evil and bring us to life everlasting. May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen

PRAYER FOR THIS EVENING (THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5)

Prayer for the Evening

The word of the Lord is faithful/ and all his works

to be trusted: come, let us give thanks and praise!

(cf. Ps 33:4)

Glory to the Father, and to the Son,

and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,

is now, and will be for ever. Amen. Alleluia!

HYMN

You are my portion, O my God;

Soon as I know your way,

My heart makes haste t’obey your word,

And suffers no delay.

I choose the path of heav’nly truth,

And glory in my choice;

Not all the riches of the earth

Could make me so rejoice.

If I once wander from your path,

I think upon my ways,

Then turn my feet to your commands,

And trust your pard’ning grace.

You have inclined this heart of mine

Your statutes to fulfill;

And thus, till mortal life shall end,

Would I perform your will.

CANTICLE OF ISAIAH 35:4b, 8-10

You have the words of eternal life. (Jn 6:68)

The way of God leads to wisdom, joy, light, and life; the way of evil leads to foolishness, suffering, darkness, and death. Let us live by God’s law.

Here is your God,

he comes with vindication;

with divine recompense

he comes to save you.

A highway will be there,

called the holy way;

no one unclean may pass over it,

nor fools go astray on it.

No lion will be there,

nor beast of prey go up to be met upon it.

It is for those with a journey to make,

and on it the redeemed will walk.

Those whom the Lord has ransomed will return

and enter Zion singing,

crowned with everlasting joy;

they will meet with joy and gladness,

sorrow and mourning will flee.

Glory to the Father….

Word of God (Sirach 24:18-21)

Come to me, all you that yearn for me,/ and be filled with my fruits;/ You will remember me as sweeter than honey,/ better to have than the honeycomb./ He who eats of me will hunger still,/ he who drinks of me will thirst for more;/ He who obeys me will not be put to shame,/ he who serves me will never fail.

Taste and see that the Lord is good.

(Ps 34:9)

CANTICLE OF MARY

You will live in my love if you keep my commandments. (cf. Jn 15:10)

He has mercy on those who fear him

in every generation.

He has shown the strength of his arm,

He has filled the hungry with good things,

and the rich he has sent away empty.

for he has remembered his promise of mercy,

the promise he made to our fathers,

to Abraham and his children for ever.

our life, our sweetness, and our hope.

To you do we cry,

poor banished children of Eve.

To you do we send up our sighs,

mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.

Turn then, O most gracious advocate,

your eyes of mercy toward us,

and after this our exile

show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus.

O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

V/ Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,

R/ That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Alma Redemptoris Mater, quae pervia caeli

porta manes, et stella maris, succurre cadenti,

surgere qui curat, populo: tu quae genuisti,

natura mirante, tuum sanctum Genitorem,

Virgo prius ac posterius, Gabrielis ab ore

sumens illud Ave, peccatorum miserere.

Loving mother of the Redeemer,

gate of heaven, star of the sea,

assist your people who have fallen yet strive to rise again.

To the wonderment of nature you bore your Creator,

yet remained a virgin after as before.

You who received Gabriel’s joyful greeting,

have pity on us, poor sinners.

V/ Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,

R/ That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Prayer to die in the peace of Jesus Christ

0

This prayer asks for the grace to prepare well for death, passing from this world in peace.

Whether we like it or not, we will all die. It is the fate of all humanity, though we do not know the day or hour when this will occur.

This is why we should do all we can to prepare for the day, asking God for all the necessary graces to die in peace, instead of in desperation.

Here is a short prayer from the 19th-century prayer book The Raccolta, that asks God for help to live this life well, ready to depart it when our journey on earth has ended.

O God, who has concealed from all the hour of their death, grant that I may pass my days in the practice of holiness and justice, and that I may be made worthy to leave this world in the peace of a good conscience, and in the embrace of your love, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAYER FOR THIS MORNING (THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5)

Prayer for the Morning

Arise, bless the Lord, your God,/

from eternity to eternity! (Neh 9:5)

Glory to the Father, and to the Son,

and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,

is now, and will be for ever. Amen. Alleluia!

HYMN

Lo! golden light rekindles day:

Let paling darkness steal away,

Which all too long o’erwhelmed our gaze

And led our steps by winding ways.

We pray thee, rising Light serene,

E’en as thyself our hearts make clean;

Let no deceit our lips defile,

Nor let our souls be vexed by guile.

O keep us, as the hours proceed,

From lying word and evil deed;

Our roving eyes from sin set free,

Our body from impurity.

For thou dost from above survey

The converse of each fleeting day;

Thou dost foresee from morning light

Our every deed, until the night.

All laud to God the Father be,

All praise, eternal Son, to thee;

All glory, as is ever meet,

To God the holy Paraclete.

Canticle of Ezekiel 36:24-28

Blessed are the clean of heart,/ for they will see God. (Mt 5:8)

To be a disciple means to follow the Master. He ascended the hill of the cross and transformed it into the seat of glory, a holy place. Risen, he invites us to leave behind all worthless desires and seek him in holiness, that is, in love.

I will take you away from among the nations,

gather you from all the foreign lands,

and bring you back to your own land.

I will sprinkle clean water upon you

to cleanse you from all your impurities,

and from all your idols I will cleanse you.

I will give you a new heart

and place a new spirit within you,

taking from your bodies your stony hearts

and giving you natural hearts.

I will put my spirit within you

and make you live by my statutes,

careful to observe my decrees.

You shall live in the land I gave your fathers;

you shall be my people,

and I will be your God.

Glory to the Father….

Word of God (Exodus 15:11-13)

Who is like to you among the gods, O Lord?/ Who is like to you, magnificent in holiness?/ O terrible in renown, worker of wonders,/ when you stretched out your right hand, the earth swallowed them!/ In your mercy you led the people you redeemed;/ in your strength you guided them to your holy dwelling.

I will sing to the Lord, for he is gloriously triumphant. (Ex 15:1)

Canticle of Zechariah

May the Lord, who is good, grant pardon to everyone who has resolved to seek God, the Lord, the God of his fathers, though he be not clean as holiness requires. (2 Chr 30:18-19)

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;

he has come to his people and set them free.

You, my child, shall be called the prophet

of the Most High;

for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way,

to give his people knowledge of salvation

by the forgiveness of their sins.

In the tender compassion of our God

the dawn from on high shall break upon us,

to shine on those who dwell in darkness

and the shadow of death,

and to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Glory to the Father…

INTERCESSIONS

As disciples of the risen Lord, we pray:

R/Lead the way, O Lord, our light!

For those appointed to tasks of leadership,

– that they may lead your people in the way of

holiness: R/

For those who lead the way with joy to the mountain of the Lord,

– that they may be richly blessed: R/

For those who have passed through the gates of death,

– that they may rejoice for all eternity: R/

(Personal intentions)

Our Father….

O God and giver of all good gifts, you cleanse us from stain of sin and make us pure of heart through your Son Jesus Christ.
